A place to discuss privacy and freedom in the digital world.
Privacy has become a very important issue in modern society, with companies and governments constantly abusing their power, more and more people are waking up to the importance of digital privacy.
In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.
Some Rules
- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don't promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
- Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience

Take this one step farther with Navidrome and steam your music from your home server.
I would have a home Server but electricity is expensive, kinda off the table
You could rent a vps and install it there. That might be cheaper. I had a pretty weak one for a while for navidrome.
@fluffery you can get a gym device that also produces energy when you work out on it. Solar panels on the roof or a mini wind turbine if you live in a house.
This is what I do too. And the clients dsub, and ultrasonic for android are great players.
Yep. Those are the best. I switch between them
Does your isp give you a static IP address? Mine gives me a dynamic one that is at the same time shared between multiple users.
They give me a static one, but I still use a free domain name with letsencrypt, to access it. So navidrome is running at a domain name, and my phone music player connects to it.
