Thought I'd share what I think is one of the most beautiful guitars I've seen: my PRS SE Custom 24 in bright Bonnie Pink. The light was catching it quite nice this evening.

This thing plays as good as it looks. The neck is really nice, the frets and edge of fretboard are like butter, the trem is really nice with a push in bar. The high fret access is just superb. I love the pickups that have some great bite, but clean up with volume and tone adjustment. The split coil setting, although not perfect adds a lot of versatility so I dont often want to swap guitars just for some single coils - well, most of the time.

Only criticisms would be I think it should have some with locking tuners, but as a £90 add on I can see why they did it to keep the cost down - having since added them I really like the PRS locking system.

The pickup selector switch I find to be quite out of the way and the trem bar gets in the way if wanting to switch mid song. A LP is hard to beat in this regard.

Overall a definite 9.8/10, very highly recommended.

How much money would I need to spend to get that? Are we allowed to ask that here?

I ask because the most expensive guitar I bought was $500 about 25 years ago. And I always wondered how much better or what I'd be buying if I spent 3K instead. I still don't know.

All my guitars have always been a little "off" with harmonics and tuning. It's like if I get the tuning perfect, then the harmonics are off. I wonder if the extra money is what fixes that?

The best guitar I ever had was an acoustic Takamine. That's the one that cost me 500.

This is a PRS SE line guitar, so their entry level guitars. It's not as budget friendly as a Squire, say, but for the £700 I paid for it new 2 years ago I'd say it was a bargain.

It looks so nice. Was it that color when you bought it or did you paint it?

I once bought a "PRS SE" off eBay for like $100 (~ £77). Of course it ended up being a 'made in China' knockoff. It wasn't too bad though. I ended up giving it away.

I love your guitar. Sure wish I could try it out. 🎸 Are guitar shops common where you're from? In the US, they use to be a lot of them when I was a kid. You could walk in and play as much as you wanted. I don't see them too much anymore though, at least around where I live (SouthWest).

It was always this colour. It makes me really sad when I see the colour on the Silver Sky- they're just so dull. If they added some vibrancy I'd love to have a SS too.

There are a few guitar shops nearby me, which is where I bought this from. I dont really spend much time there as the council make it as horrible as possible to drive in to town now.
