I made some nice mods for this way way back, now I have to play it again :)
Great! What mods have you done for SD?
I recall a tube frame beach buggy and a caterham/lotus 7 with silly over size wheels and lots of roll, it was good for free play/roaming, not that we had such tracks/maps.
I remember a three wheeled tuktuk as well I don't think I released that.
Must re install SD next week it's been too long.
We think that your cars are in this collection: https://github.com/longtomjr/sdcars
Omg ya, the beach buggy the tuktuk and a car I converted the slambo, haha I'm sure it felt longer then 11 year since I released them.
Was using a mix of inventor and ac3d to model back then.
Right now modders usually use blender with the plugin to import/export to .ac . Of course AC3D is still a good tool for modelling for SD. https://github.com/NikolaiVChr/Blender-AC3D/tree/4.1
haha can't believe that old file still worked
Why wouldn't it work? I'll have to go for a ride with him again.
I found my file creation dates, it's 2008, I'm wondering did i make it for torcs first or really early SD.
Anyway don't bother the xml is terrible, it's got 4cm of suspension travel and imaginary springs, I've already started playing with it and will have a PR after lunch.
Is there a up to date guide for the car xml somewhere? or a car with a well commented setup?
Take a look to these on the SD Wiki (Thanks Xavier for the tip): https://sourceforge.net/p/speed-dreams/wiki/SetupCars/
