I'm only buying it for Elite Dangerous to be honest but games like Helldivers 2 and anything else really would be an added plus of course.

For Elite: Dangerous that should be fine. And it's a decent price

But CPU, RAM, and Motherboard would likely need upgrades before you could get to modern games like Helldivers. To be fair that CPU/Mobo/RAM released in 2009. GPU is a mid-range from 2019 so it should be okay for mid/low graphics in 1080p.

Huge topic.

Like I said, for just Elite: Dangerous I think you'll be fine at mid graphics.

For upgrades check out https://www.logicalincrements.com/ in the price category you're comfortable in.

I'm partial to AMD for CPU since upgrade paths are much more modular.
