Were they trying to forfeit? I really don't understand the logic of driving almost straight at an enemy tank and showing your broad side.
Fog of war, misidentification and disorientation.
The brr crew must have thought these were friendlies.. noone would knowingly drive at enemy armor like this...
Yeah I'm guessing this because it's a T-72B yeah? They must have missed the Ukrainian colors lmao.
The driver saw "a tank" at best. If the gunner/commander were even looking in the right direction, nothing tells us their lens wasn't dirty, the optics broken or everything was shaking too violently for a proper look. It's easy to overestimate how much you can really see out of your steel coffin, especially when it's 40 year old soviet steel coffins.
