Checking to see what movies were playing tonight. Didn't even know this movie existed. Decided to check and see how packed it was in my rural Eastern NC town. This is for the showing starting in 30min (lemmy.world)

And even further, only those exact same two seats are ‘taken’ for every single showing.

I thought for sure the after church showings tomorrow would be at least somewhat full, but nope.

Ok? If not on a Saturday, when do you think people are seeing 6:30 showtimes? Do you think theaters just don't open before 8pm or something?

I would say the majority of 6:30p patrons are kids, single, dating, and DINKs. There are the outlier degenerates, but for all we know OP is showing a theater that is in San Francisco where nobody would bother with such a nonsense waste of time.

You might check all the other images other people are posting of empty theaters in their area. Including places like Texas.
