Red Bull boss Christian Horner has labelled Aston Martin’s choice to announce Formula 1 design guru Adrian Newey through a live event as a “premature celebration”. Aston Martin revealed earlier this week the expected news that it has signed Newey’s coveted services on a long-term deal as the team’s Managing Technical Partner.

I read through the article expecting some big reason why Horner was complaining. He's upset because Newry is still under contract. Didn't RB announce they signed Perez during the 2020 season?

No, Perez was announced in December 2020 after what people thought was his last race in F1 at the Sakhir GP.
