Time to activate Linux with sketchy activation scripts

Linux_activation_keygen_v0.1.2.4.exe

The good old 2000s when you could host and successfully distribute any virus disguised as something popular by slapping a _full, _HD or .rar/zip (or any combination) at the end of the file name.

I used to look up lard bread and there was a hit for lard bread_full.rar on the first page.

I didn't know what lard bread is, so I looked it up.

I discovered it was bread with prosciutto baked in. I thought it sounded unappealing.

Then I thought of "making bacon pancakes" and thought I should open my mind.

edit: added a missing word.

So the thing is, English is not my first language and I used the wrong word. I guess it's more like greasy bread. Just plain pig fat spread on a slice of bread. But what you just described actually sounds awesome.

[–] toynbee@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Ah, I apologize, I did not intend to mock. Both sound potentially appealing. Thanks for the clarification!

[–] Dicska@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

Oh, there was 0 offense taken, mockery didn't even cross my mind. I just simply realised I was probably misleading first.

Like the primary fault in bread is that it doesn't have enough fat. You can fix that with butter or cheese, but what if you bake saturated fat into the bread?

[–] MHanak@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

I mean it's like bread with butter but better

[–] toynbee@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

My culinary knowledge is not sufficient to usefully comment on this.

I would say "... Definitely into a sandbox" except that might dry out the bread even more. :(

Just a one-liner as root, and you're done.

[–] Shady_Shiroe@lemmy.world 8 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Root account unavailable, you have not activated the premium account for this Linux installation, please activate by purchasing it for a $5 monthly subscription

[–] Baalial@lemm.ee 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Oh it's subscription based, ok. I have a flash drive for that. Helps me erase the OS and put a whole new one in.

EDIT: damn I feel like I should get hired by Microsoft or some other sh#t company because I'm getting good at this anti consumer crap

[–] Baalial@lemm.ee 3 points 1 month ago

Bro this notification popped up, and for a couple of seconds I didn't see that it was lemmy, I didn't remember this convo, I just saw the anti-consumer corpo speak and I almost lost my shit. I was straight up furious and I hit the notification to come in here and verbally crap in your mouth.

So yeah, you should look into a career with Micockssoft 🤣

Don't worry, Linux doesn't even mind at this point. ;)
