Strange that there isn't any privacy front-end for Facebook.
considering that they sent a cease and desist letter to the developer of an instagram client, i'm not surprised that facebook doesn't have any.
Just avoid using their name anywhere, going as far as having an interactive script for when someone wants to compile from source that asks "what is the domain of the worst social network site ever?" You answer "facebook.com", the script replaces some placeholder text with the actual domain in every source file
I'm not joking either, the only reason they have the legal right to C&D these projects is because they are using trademarked names without consent
I'm still heartbroken about Barinsta. I use Instagram solely to interact with friends and artists who cling to it, but don't upload there myself. It was perfect, and they had to go and ruin it. I have to wonder if Frost is on Meta's hitlist as well.
Frost is basically a Webview wrapper for the mobile website, I doubt they're going to do anything about it.
Wow that's fucked. Have they tried to take bibliogram down as well?
they're definitely making it a pain to use.
I keep hoping that someone makes one. most business over here don't have their own website so there's no way to even check their opening hours without opening their Facebook page.
I really hate that
If it's feasible, then it's a shame. I've heard somewhere that you can access info on FB via RSS but I don't know if it's true.
Yes, you can read FB via RSS, but it result with the same tracking as to read direct in FB, apart it don't serve, if somone put a information in a web with the link to a Fakebook post. There is nothing which redirect the URL, like Nitter in Twitter. I don't have a FB account I don't have an account on FB and I preferred to bite a monogram on my belly before doing it, go to FB to read a post I don't like at all, only with VPN, anonymous window, mask and disinfectant spray
