My favorite part is how Garfield retroactively inserts himself into your past once you notice how widespread he is. Or maybe he just suppressed memories about liking it because Garfield seems cringe at a certain age, and remembering that would be too embarrassing.

I bought too many Garfield comic collections for me to forget liking it, but at least I also loved Calvin and Hobbes which is at the opposite end of the spectrum.
