I think Lemmy and the federation stand on its own and references to Reddit should be removed. Lemmy can grow organically on its own.

Think about it. How long will Lemmy be a new backup or alternative to Reddit? It must grow organically at some point to become its own thing. And it has started to. We don’t have an onboard utility for FB, X, TikTok, etc. Authenticity does not evolve from duplicity.
