A "motivational" story about a 70 years old working 12 hours per day to earn rm100(equivalent to Usd20.87 today) to support his wife and two unemployed son.

My dad is in his 70s and started driving for Uber/lyft. It really bummed me out when I heard this—and it’s not because he’s retired and wanted some extra cash. He never retired and this was his best option—in his eyes. He thinks no one is hiring old men like him. I don’t know if that’s even true. But it bums me out.

In a functioning society a 70+ senior shoul be able to not have to work. He should not have to feel like ha have to be hired.
