MODERATORS

I liked the Saturday APPreciation threads on /r/Android and found them really useful for discovering new apps. How about we get something similar rolling here?

Go for it!

I do wonder though if we'd be better off with a series of threads devoted to particular app types... A thread for task/project management apps, a thread for notes apps, etc.

My fellow Aussie, Sam Beckman, does great weekly vids on his favourite Android apps. https://youtube.com/@sambeckman

Until there's a bit more traffic I think just one thread is fine

since we're still relatively small, have one weekly thread for apps, then subcomments for like 'Productivity apps', 'Wallpaper customisation', 'Icon packs' etc.

helps neaten up the thread to help people find what they're looking for!

This multi-thread style sounds perfect.

Hey, can I promote my app here in this community/subreddit? How would I go about it if so? I understand if it is not allowed

Feel free mate, just make sure you're clear about it being yours, and don't promote anything that isn't transparent about what it does, what data it collects, what features it needs access to (and why), etc.
