              Every anti-feudalist is either envious of the lords or a spoiled noble child who's never worked a day in his life.
"Democracy" is a naive idea, why should people who can't even read have a say in how the Kingdom is run? Should carpenters have a "vote" in how bakers bake their bread too?
Egalité sounds good on paper but it can't exist, it's against Nature, some people are just more blessed by the Lord's grace, that's how it's always been.
And how exactly would a "private business" build a bridge across this river? Where would the architect get a royal charter if there's no King?
Your steam engine is only possible because of feudalism!
Actually, if you consult the records you will find that the present time is actually the best time in history to be alive, ever
