Rep. Lauren Boebert is blaming Hollywood for her decision to switch congressional districts.

"We have to shut down the Hollywood elites who are trying to buy my current district," Boebert told Steve Bannon on his "War Room" podcast on Saturday.

"There has been close to $10 million poured into this district to buy this seat. Colorado's 3rd District is not for sale," she continued.

Boebert then named the stars, who she said were backing her rivals.

"When you have Barbra Streisand coming in and donating to the Democrat, when you have Ryan Reynolds coming in and donating to the Democrat, it shows you that Hollywood is trying to buy their way into Congress," Boebert told Bannon.

  • under biden, we've seen an increase- not a decrease- of oil production. Despite the pretty clear dire consequences of doing so. He personally signed the restarting of the Willow Project in alaska, for example. it's pretty clear he doesn't give a fuck about the climate. or about any one whose going to remain alive beyond the next two decades.
  • under biden, we've seen a continued erosion of voter rights, an increase in fascism, and might I remind you a literal, bonafide fascist insurrectionist who almost succeeded in overthrowing his government is still walking free. it took his adminstration more than two and a half years to get nuclear fucking secrets back.
  • under Biden's economy, many people my age still cannot afford a house, they cannot afford the necessity of a car. People are suffering under crippling debt. and before you blame trump, that was a trend that was only exacerbated by trump's polices, but it was always going that way.
  • Wage growth for typical moderate to low-income amercans still hasn't caught up with inflation over the last decade, and the gains in '22 and '23 have barely kept paced with pandemic inflation. Relative to inflation, pay has only gone down, with increases in wages only coming with increased responsibility. and usually only by job hopping into other organizations into a role comensurate with your current qualifications.
  • Under Biden's leadership, we've seen a continued erosion of civil liberties- abortion, LGBTQ. etc. things that were increasingly taken for granted are no longer such.
  • Student loan debt remains crippling and the only motion on that has been to forgive loans that, contractually, should have been forgiven years, or even decades ago. There's been no investigations in to fraud on part of the loan servicers,
  • Similarly, only recently has biden's SBA decided to reverse the whole PPP loan forgiveness thing... instead doing its job and investigating fraud and demanding funding.
  • Corportate tax was set at something like 20%. So why is a mandatory 15% going to do anything?

you're acting like the literal scraps you were given in '23 are "change". while it's unfair to say that Biden caused the economic problems... so far his economic policies have not translated very well into economic boons for the average person. in terms of climate change, he's done nothing except give tax breaks for corporations who were going to all those things anyhow, or subsidie the profit margin of companies like tesla.

you can't win a fight, trying to hold what you have, and I'm guessing biden (and his corporate donors,) know this. if you want to win against fascism, that means you have to go on offense... which Biden is not doing. Am I cycical? yes. am I jackass? probably. doesn't change what is. Look around and take a deep whiff. That's not coffee you're smelling.
