For all its many many many many many many fuckupednesses, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (né ~Mormon Church~ (but don’t deadname them)) is remarkably progressive amongst the Abrahamic religions in allowing you to be attracted to people they say you’re not supposed to be attracted to.
But you’re right, the one true church contradicts the Bible, which is pretty clear about thought crimes.
They also let you kind of have premarital sex with a bed and a willing friend
