How can I get lemmy to open youtube links in browser rather than the app? (lemmy.world)

Hey, Just joined Lemmy after being a Reddit veteran.

One thing I just noticed is that youtube links insist on opening in the youtube app, I don't want them to as I use brave browser and block ads, how can I stop it doing this?

Like the other commenter already said, this has nothing to do with Lemmy. Try opening the link in incognito mode, this should prevent your phone form opening it in the YT app. If you never want to open YT links in the YT app, you can also disable it generally. Go to Settings > Apps > YouTube > Set as default and turn off "Open supported links" (This is for Android devices).
