It's possible to be successful and have a good influence on the industry. Valve is the perfect example of that.

It's a private company. They don't have shareholders to report to, so they're not remotely as scummy. Fuck the rich, but choose your battles and go after the ones who are really the problem.
They're all the problem. Valve is a scummy company. Not sure why they get praise for their shady business practices and bloated shitware launcher that constantly wants to run in the background and do updates. They've normalized the concept of launchers, done what they can to stifle competition, contributed to the idea of loot boxes. They're pretty much shitty in their entirety, which is easy to see once you get Gaben's nuts out of your eyes.
Don't play games then, they are only being made to get your money. Screw those!
I enjoy playing games. I don't enjoy capitalism, big greedy corporations like Valve, or rich greedy fucks like Gabe.
Edit: Wtf the Gaben fans are writing entire novels in this thread about how Valve is good actually, even when presented with irrefutable evidence of its shitty practices lmao
