You could try Audile if you don't mind switching away from Shazam. I don't use the app heavily, but it has worked great for me.
The only issue with Audile. Is that you have to sign up for AudD. The cheapest option is $5/month. If you use it a lot, then that could be worth it. I would like to find an open source replacement for SoundHound, but since I only use it, maybe 10 times a year, it isn't worth $60/year.
You only need a subscription if you use it over 300 times per day (or week, I can't remember). I haven't needed an API token and have been using it with no account successfully.
You dont need a Token if you need very few songs
