I stayed out of the Star Trek fandoms for years because of this. I've always liked Enterprise, and I like the new shows, some more than others, but I've enjoyed all of them at least to some extent. I don't need some jackass telling me why I'm wrong for liking something.
I joined a Star Trek Wholesomeposting group on Facebook where belittling the shows or the people that like them is explicitly not allowed. It's great.
