@pleasemakesense Technical question about this post: Can someone please explain how a link from #LemmyWorld works when posted to #Mastodon?

When I click on the link, it shows this same post plus all of the same comments. I'm trying to understand how it works. thx

LW and Mastodon are both connected throughout the #Fediverse so they share data.

You can comment on a LW post through Mastodon we ease. Posting an article to LW from Mastodon still has some quirks, but the comments side works. You can also follow LW communities through Mastodon that will populate in your feed.
