What is Quest? I looks like a tabletop rpg that has a very lofty opinion of itself? Is it any good?

I don't know the world of tabletop RPG's that well, but I've been doing a Quest campaign recently with a small group of friends & family. First time tabletop RPG player. From what I've been told of people who are deeper in the world of tabletop RPG's, it is close to D & D but simpler. I can't speak for its relative quality, but I've really been enjoying it so far.
