Could i be mod ... considering i can go for months without visiting lemmy ?
Edit : @Gabe@lemmy.ml moderator of asklemmy, account's is (test) "dead".
Also dead accounts (mod's) :
@Joe@lemmy.ml (Rust prog.) @Restioson@lemmy.ml since 2yrs
@test42@lemmy.ml SportStreams
@pojntfx@lemmy.ml Anarchism
@dharmatech@lemmy.ml PowerShell
@mlsuyt@lemmy.ml cryptocurrency
@nondescript_person@lemmy.ml ...
@jenniferwhite@lemmy.ml . .
@anprim@lemmy.ml .
...!green@lemmy.ml 's 2of3 mods : @theloneforager@lemmy.ml & @Chloe@lemmy.ml
Good digging! I wonder if its a good to remove or tag dead accounts like @Joe(archived)@lemmy.ml because you don't really want users sending messages off to dead accounts and waiting for a reply that never comes.
i agree and also :
Moderators status should be revoked after 1 year of inactivity !
If someone wants their communities, they can do a request on !community_requests@lemmy.ml
Are moderators able to resign ?
Should they be revoked after 1 year of inactivity ?
The top mod can transfer a community to anyone they want, but there's not a way to resign currently unless another mod removes you.
Clean(?) "way to resign" at worst :
"another mod (who) removes you" will be a sockpuppet-mod of the moderator wanting to resign. Credentials of the sockpuppet would be sent to another moderator and admin. Lastly, sockpuppet account would be closed after a pre-established 2 months.
