Hooray, another buzz filled lab announcement with vague products that I'll never see access to and will all be cancelled within the next two years.

Google’s other businesses are certainly deserving of skepticism but what has Google Fiber cancelled?

iirc Google Fiber was supposed to roll out in a lot more places, but once they realized the cost they basically killed it outside of a few cities and suburbs.

That's fair. After looking around for a bit, there was some pressure on Google Fiber to cut back because the subscriber count wasn't growing as anticipated either.

As far as Google product potentially on life-support, I think they did better than a lot of others. Over the last few years they have been deploying 5/8Gbit service and continuing to expand their service area within some markets.
