I really want to try out some of the mobile Linux distros, but for a device I'm going to be doing quite a bit of command line stuff on, a phone doesn't do it for me. I'm aware of the JingPad, but it's a little too expensive for me, and the PineTab isn't sold new anymore and the used market seems essentially nonexistent. I'm okay with getting an Android tablet and manually hacking mobile Linux onto it, provided that at least one of the common distros already runs decently, and I'm also okay with buying a used device. Specs also doesn't matter to me as long as it can run the GUI reasonably well. Can anyone recommend some tablets that satisfy these requirements?

I recently bought an old Atom-powered Windows tablet, the Lenovo Thinkpad 10 Tablet 2nd. In general, most x86/x64 powered Windows Tablets should work okay, but make sure to watch out that they use Intel graphics and aren't haunted by PowerVR technology. Another option are Chromebook Tablets โ€“ maybe this blog post I wrote a while back can help you decide on a device.
