A place to discuss privacy and freedom in the digital world.
Privacy has become a very important issue in modern society, with companies and governments constantly abusing their power, more and more people are waking up to the importance of digital privacy.
In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.
Some Rules
- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don't promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
- Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience

As an environmentalist this really bothers me. I want a new electric car which is better for the planet. I no longer think I can. I would probably have to pick up an older model. What a joke. I'm too angry about the way the world is progressing, our privacy is eroded faster that we can take steps to mitigate.
The best alternative would probably be, if feasible at all, a bike coupled with public transport. For our privacy as well as for the environment.
tbf public transport can be very bad for privacy, depending on the politics of your country... granted, with facial and other recognition nowhere is safe
I wish Tesla kept selling the “$35k Model 3” that was stripped down and had no cameras or autopilot. Essentially just an electric vehicle with no bells and whistles.
