Is just about the highest IQ take I've seen out of hexbear. Ya'll got that cult-like disconnection from reality.
Also when there was a user in unixporn yesterday asking what words will replace "ricing" now that it's entered social consciousness that the term has a racially based origin, a hexbear jumped in to say it's now going to be called "crackering".
Wow, dunked on that racism so hard.
It was so racist of that user to better themselves and replace a racial work with a non-racial word. Good thing we have hexbear to help out.
Having had a disagreement with you in another thread and seen you mischaracterize it as "supporting the rape of innocent women and children" to someone else, I'm fairly confident that if anyone has a cult-like disconnection from reality, it's likely you.
If someone tells me it's bad to be anti-racism, or that systemic racism isn't real, I'm of course going to say they support racism.
Your position was that it's bad to help Ukrainians defend their families from being raped because it damages worker solidarity. Yeah, you're not going around raping anyone yourself, you simply supporting the system in which it occurs.
And I don't think supporting the system of rape is intentional on your part either. I think you're anti-America (which is good) to the point that you'll be apologetic towards rape (which is bad), as long as it means you keep being anti-America.
No, actually I was articulating someone else's perspective, which was that advocating for greater conflict as retribution for rape is misguided, and I think it's a reasonable perspective and not, as you and others were suggesting, evidence of faux leftism.
But good-faith representations of perspectives you disagree with doesn't seem to be one of your strengths.
Someone else as in a real person?
Or a hypothetical person you made up in your head?
Does knowing who's perspective it is really change your opinion of it? Or are you asking so you know who you can accuse of being a Russian apologist?
If it stands up to your scrutiny then I wouldn't think it matters.
I've talked to too many covert Nazis who will say, "Oh, I don't believe that Jews secretly control the world, I'm just here to tell you that some people believe it, and here's the evidence they use."
Don't argue someone else's position. If you want to talk about disingenuous, that is disingenuous.
State your own position on the rape of civilians and minors in Ukraine.
I'm personally enraged and disgusted by Russia's invasion and brutalizing of the Ukrainian people, and I'd be happy if this war ended with the death of Putin and his allies.
But Im not naive enough to believe that's a likely outcome. I think it's far more likely that this war will impoverish Ukraine for the next half-century and create a generation of orphans and refugees that will never know the country that existed before this war.
I think its ethically abhorrent to cheer on its continuation, and even more, I think it's childish and absurd to think continued US involvement in it would lead to anything beneficial for the Ukrainian people.
And I think the people who are blinded by their rage are the least qualified to cast judgement on what should be legitimate leftist geopolitical policy. The same people who are play-acting outrage against leftists being too openly violent are the ones seemingly giddy to see Ukraine being tossed near limitless weapons to add to the already half-million dead, over a conflict almost certainly created by US involvement to begin with and which is unlikely to end at all well for Ukraine. You're advocating for the sacrifice of Ukraine for the chance to destroy Russia, and I find that more heartless and disgusting than anything anyone on Hexbear has said so far.
Who is cheering on its continuation?
Russia can just leave. Walk out. Stop the rape, stop the killing, stop the invasion. Send your soldiers home. Literally nothing would make me happier.
Then we can stop sending weapons, send them more food instead. Help them rebuild, give them homes and schools to replace the ones bombed out by Russia

I think the US should be steering Ukraine toward diplomacy, including by limiting lethal aid. It's irresponsible for us to continue supplying them with armaments indefinitely. That will necessarily mean making concessions to Russia in some way.
This is politician speak for "let Russia bomb Ukrainian cities and kill and rape its civilians until Ukraine is beaten into submission and forced to surrender".
So yes, again, I call you out as a rape apologist, because you support Ukrainian civilians and minors being raped until Russia gets what it wants.

You've sanitized it into a fake fantasy world. What I described is the reality of war and invasion. Yeah, war is psychopathic. Putin is psychopathic. The rape of civilians and kids is not an accident. That's how an invading imperialist force subdues and demoralizes a local population.
Maybe you can offer more insight as to why you refuse to acknowledge the reality of atrocities of war. Is it too much for your brain to handle? Or it acknowledging the reality of war harmful for your political agenda?
Huh? Who's denying the reality of the war? It really seems like it's you who has lost sight of what war really means, you should know what the cost is of extending the conflict indefinitely. Russia will not leave Ukraine without either a treaty or a defeat, and one of those options is realistic, and the other will come at the cost of possibly millions of lives. If Ukraine pushes Russia out completely and are unable to secure a treaty, they must be ready to defend the retaken ground for the foreseeable future. You've abandoned diplomacy because you are (rightfully) outraged over Russia's actions, but that outrage doesn't change the calculus of the war.
Honestly, it's pointless arguing with you, because you've detached yourself from reason and nothing but blood will satisfy you. You are no better than the war hawks in DC, sending Ukrainians to the meat grinder in order to keep the gears of war turning and the defense contractors employed.
Everyone who cares about the loss of lives should be looking toward a diplomatic end to the war. A desperate Russia is more likely to initiate direct conflict with NATO and the west. We must end the war now, before it escalates further.
Anyone who says otherwise is dreaming.
If you had two choices
Be put on your knees with your hands tied behind your back with a gun to your head, watch your wife and your daughter be raped in front of your eyes, screaming in pain and fear, crying out for you for help them, watch them be beaten and brutalized and finally executed while you are helpless
Get some "lethal aid" from your neighborhood and defend your home in a firefight, and have a chance at defending yourself and your family even in a dangerous situation that might still leave you injured or dead
Which one are you choosing? I'm choosing #2, in a heartbeat.
I hate war, I hate violence, I own guns and I've never, ever shot them at a person. But I believe in self defense against the fascists and imperialists more than I believe in giving them what they want. And if they came from my home and family, I would be so happy to receive any assistance I could get.
Russia did this. This is Russia's fault. If this situation is somehow advantageous for the west (and it really isn't), that was Putin's doing.
