Definitely a good idea! But they're under enough pressure that 3d printed parts wouldn't hold up.
I'm pretty positive they would with standard PLA, but at the very least you could print them with a stronger material that absolutely would hold up.
I think you're underestimating how strong 3D prints actually can be!
