A place to discuss privacy and freedom in the digital world.
Privacy has become a very important issue in modern society, with companies and governments constantly abusing their power, more and more people are waking up to the importance of digital privacy.
In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.
Some Rules
- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don't promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
- Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience

Aren't the devs of Ungoogled Chromium adamant that removing all Google telemetry is like whack a mole, and they're never sure if they've gotten all of it?
Honestly, I don't know, but I have noticed that Ungoogled Chromium is lighter, safer and faster than Chrome and Vivaldi. That's why I use it as a secondary web browser. Still, I only use it for sites that work only with Chromium. Normally I use Firefox Nightly (it's the one that works best on my PC).
Safer? How can you tell?
They add flags to improve security and privacy that are not in Chromium, they use features added by other Chromium forks (like Iridium Browser) that are focused on privacy, they also avoid any external connection and it is extremely lightweight (because they remove all Google components).
