The better question is why can’t you moderate yourself and block what you don’t want to see? Although with the above screenshot it’s like you’re looking for it.
it showed up on my feed against my will and I dislike spreading fascism and genocide apologism.
a better question is, why are you okay with it?
I’m not ok with it.
so what does it help if I block it? I can block it out, that doesn't solve anything, it will still be there.
They'll still be there even if defederated.
but not accessible from this instance.
I mean, I guess I can't argue with that.
I mean, I have no idea why you are arguing in the first place, you are basically arguing against the de-platforming of fascists.
You were able to discern all that from me clarifying that they'd still exist even if your instance members didn't see them?
is this elementary school math? do I need to show my work here?
Clearly, because my comment was made not being sure you knew what defederation entailed. Then I agreed with you, and you're still frothing.
Some of their stuff finally hit my feed. I’ve blocked them on my instance. I take what I said back.
I mean, even if programming.dev defederates with it, it'll still be there...
one less platform to spread
You acting real reddit right now.
that literally doesn't mean anything
You remind me of bungiefan_ak
once again, literally doesn't mean anything, I have no idea what you mean
Doesn't mean anything, to you. One person making demands to change things for the masses is just a sad affair is all. Doesn't really matter what the subject is, I'm not a fan of seeing it. Have you tried blocking the community on your own devices/account? "I don't like it, so nobody else should have to see it too" is lame af
Edit: here, block me for practice. Lmao
you make it sound like I blocked you I didn't.

Just to be clear I am in no way comparing myself to the people in the links I am not delusional, I am just pointing how incredibly stupid what you said is.
It's not "I don't like it", it's fascists, bit of a difference, also:

I'm not making it sound like anything bud, just trying to help you learn how blocking works, Hexbears aren't fascists, they're leftists. Some of them are a bit cookoo for CCPuffs, (or ruskie puffs), but calling all of them fascists is incorrect. The civil rights movement doesn't have shit to do with this. I'm black, I'm leftist, and I'm telling you you're being whiny and that you can just block the communities that you don't like.
Edit: don't you just love when the person you're arguing with uses quotes and links like a condescending, pretentious robot?
you can't be a bit "cookoo" for Russia stuff and not be a fascists at the same time.
that's like being a big fan of Hitler while not being a fucking nazi.
Aww still upset after two days? Took you long enough booboo. Topics dead, you're still wrong, and I'm blocking you for annoying me.
How this was shown to you against your will? You had blocked it and it was shown anyway? How would lemmy know what's every users will?
before I blocked it, obviously
So just now you have "told" lemmy what is your will. Not before
???
You told it was shown against your will, but you hadn't stated your will to the platform
