How fast is the onset of effects when smoking? (kbin.social)

I plan to go out in nature on my horse with a joint but am concerned because I’m not entirely sure how quick I’ll go from high to stoned to encumbered. The goal isn’t to be couch locked but to help with my anxiety. The previous time I got high it was somewhat light and the second time nothing happened. I don’t want to get stoned and be unable to ride back home 😂

related: any strains or things I should look for when using cannabis for anxiety/depression/PTSD? The first time was amazing for my mental health, and has helped me a lot in just that one time. I just would like to re-up periodically when I need it.

Edit: I live in a legal municipality with access to dispensaries.

Yeah. If you have to ask about the effects, then you really aren't ready to do it outside. Especially not when riding.
