This is the place for discussing the potential collapse of modern civilization and the environment.
Collapse, in this context, refers to the significant loss of an established level or complexity towards a much simpler state. It can occur differently within many areas, orderly or chaotically, and be willing or unwilling. It does not necessarily imply human extinction or a singular, global event. Although, the longer the duration, the more it resembles a ‘decline’ instead of collapse.

Can you throw some more acronyms out there? Or alternatively, define them so we have some idea what the hell you're talking about?
BOE = blue ocean event, meaning the arctic ocean is virtually ice free for an extended period.
AMOC = Atlantic meridional overturning circulation, which is responsible for bringing warm water to the north atlantic and whose change could bring about a major and lasting shift in weather patterns.
That sounds like that will completely mess up our global climate patterns and make our seasonal weather variations very funky for a while.
I would imagine for decades or centuries at least. Scary stuff.
