Chris Keyser added in a pointed speech that lasted over 17 minutes that when it comes to the 2023 Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA negotiations, "there is no winner or loser. It’s just a deal."

As others have said, it isn't an exception in that those studios are getting a special deal. A24 and Angel studios are getting the last good faith deal that the union offered before the strike. Because these studios are accepting the terms of the union, there is no reason for the union to withhold labor.
