I'm not addicted I could quit if I wanted to.
I stopped telling myself that twenty years ago... at one point or the other, even I couldn't believe it any more.

You are technically correct, which as we all know is the best kind of correct.
Clearly.
Prove it. Quit for a month. Then you'll have proven you're not addicted. And by that time you'll also have realized that you don't really need it after all.
OP probably couldn't even quit for a week, let alone a month. They'd have a "hard" day and give themselves a pass or some shit.

Same, I could quit Lemmy if I wanted to. I just don't want to be bored so I spend 24 hours a day doom scrolling Lemmy. I'm totally not addicted!
