Is there a way to 100% disable the background usage for an app? (lemmy.world)

App battery usage > "Restricted" does not work well with some apps.

Apps like Instagram, TikTok, etc, even if the background usage is restricted they still consume battery on background. And I don't need to receive any kind of notification from them until I open them.

Because of this I ended up uninstalling them and now I use Chrome. But the mobile web experience is much worse at least for Instagram.

Edit: some user recommended me "Ice Box" app to freeze apps in the background. I'm testing it and looks nice!

WhatsApp is the worst because I can't uninstall it because I need it. But it's the top battery drainer for me.
