This kinda sounds stupid, but everyone I've looked up say "grab CPU by the sides and take out". Thing is, the CPU is in the socket, the sides are surrounded by the socket "walls", I can't exactly grab the sides.

I mean, kinda same thing for putting CPU in, but for putting it in, I can just let go a bit above, and have it fall down into the socket.

Maybe this motherboard is like that, and other motherboard are different, but I don't know.

The only thing I can grab is the heatsink (which you apply thermal paste to) on the top, but I can't get a good grip on it.

I can keep grabbing and pull the CPU to the side on top, but I might bend a few pins doing that.

This is AM5 socket btw.

Edit: I built this PC from parts, I put the CPU in, so I know I have to remove the cooler and pull the lever up.

Most of the romance anime I've seen are based on a high school setting or something similar.

They were good and all but all have this typical format with the usual shenanigans like Love triangle, beach and fireworks festival episodes, useless love interests that have a shelf life of a hamburger... Etc.

And the memorable ones have me feeling nostalgia for memories I've never even had. And in some cases its almost like waking up after a fever dream but with chest pain.

P.S - From the top of my head- the only grown up romance setting I can think of is Wotakoi. Maybe it's time I venture more into K-dramas for the romance, I remember seeing one named "Twentyfive twentyone" which was absolutely amazing.

Summary

President Joe Biden highlighted his administration's economic record, citing consistent job growth and a 2.7% inflation rate drop from its 2022 peak.

December's jobs report showed 256,000 new jobs and declining unemployment, signaling steady economic growth.

However, inflation remains above the Federal Reserve's 2% target, and interest rates remain high, impacting homebuyers and businesses.

Public pessimism lingers on affordability as Biden passes a largely strong economy to his successor, Donald Trump.

Summary

Polish Defense Minister dismissed Maj. Gen. Artur Kępczyński, head of the Support Inspectorate, following the discovery of missing anti-tank mines in an IKEA warehouse.

Reports suggest Kępczyński concealed the mishap, which occurred in June 2024 when soldiers failed to unload a train carrying explosives.

False documentation masked the missing mines until IKEA contacted the military to retrieve them.

The defense ministry did not specify reasons for the dismissal, but an investigation is ongoing.

I know, I know, the wisest thing to do is to abandon them, but today I came across a site that I simply couldn't bypass because it always blocked me with an extremely stupid "disable your adblock" video, that infuriated me so much... I would 100% migrate to torrents if I didn't find such unique catalogs on these sites.

So I've recently went from dual-booting linux (mint specifically) to having it as my main system, everything went well except when I installed Steam, as it says that almost 70GB are being used by "Non-Steam", but according to the File System it shows that most of that used space doesn't exist

Disk space according to Steam, notice how it says I have 831GB free

Disk Space according to File System, it says I have 892GB free

Considering the size of the total drive it shouldn't bother me as much, but I've already installed a few things outside Steam, and the Non-Steam space kept increasing, so I can already see it causing me problems down the line, so I might as well try to fix it now

I've already tried every fix I could find for this issue online (Such as checking if its Snapshots, trying to make a separate library folder, Repair library, check via Disk Usage Analyzer and other similar software, and even fully uninstall/reinstall Steam), but nothing fixed this so far. Any help is appreciated!

Distro: Linux Mint 22 (kernel version: 6.8.0-51)

Steam version used: .deb from the official website

Mexico sent a team of firefighters to California on Saturday to help teams battling the raging wildfires that have devastated parts of Los Angeles.

"The humanitarian aid group is leaving for Los Angeles, California," Mexico's President Claudia Sheinbaum wrote [on social media], posting photos of firefighters holding the flags of Mexico and California and standing on the runway in front of two planes.

"We are a country of generosity and solidarity," she added.

Six simultaneous blazes that have ripped across Los Angeles County neighborhoods since Tuesday have killed at least 11 people and damaged or destroyed 10,000 structures. The toll is expected to mount when firefighters are able to conduct house-to-house searches.

California Governor Gavin Newsom thanked Mexico in a message on Friday after the deployment was announced.

"California is deeply grateful for President Sheinbaum's support as we work to suppress the Los Angeles wildfires," he wrote.

THE FIRST TRUMP administration launched a sprawling campaign to ferret out leakers, which targeted reporters at CNN, the Washington Post, and the New York Times, plus members of Congress and their staff. But a watchdog report released to The Intercept shows that just days before the 2020 presidential election, senior Justice Department officials signed off on leaks to two favored newspapers with conservative reputations, both owned by the biggest name in right-wing media.

The report, which The Intercept obtained under the Freedom of Information Act, sketches the anatomy of a politically expedient leak authorized at high levels. Such leaks were frequent during Trump 1.0 — as in every other administration, in a tradition dating back to Benjamin Franklin’s days as colonial postmaster — and will certainly continue during Trump 2.0.

So will investigations of embarrassing leaks and prosecutions of disfavored leakers. Conservatives have urged Donald Trump, in the words of the Project 2025 manifesto, to “use all of the tools at [the Justice Department’s] disposal to investigate leaks.”
