The OP6 is already so big that it's quite the brick with a case. I'm hoping that the people working at Fairphone can get PostmarketOS running reasonably well on their devices considering PostmarketOS aligns pretty well with their goals.

I'm pretty sure my bank's android app is just webview considering it has a cookie banner when starting it and it looks almost identical to the actual bank website. The biggest feature of the bank app is for 2FA, but it's not like it's much more convenient than SMS and they really should be supporting FIDO2 and TOTP codes for actually secure 2FA.

Look to Minecraft servers like Hypixel for how anticheat should be done. You can completely hack your client, but your every movement is scrutinized by the server and only the data you need is received. This cripples what cheating can allow you to do without using client side anticheat and still enabling mods that improve quality of life.

Having rear camera support on a cheap and easily available phone like the Pixel 3A is awesome! I think that the pixel 3A might actually become one of the most capable PostmarketOS devices.

Actually, apparently the pixel3a now has both front and rear camera support, though still in the very early stages. I also like how the pixel3a has a plastic back instead of the glass on the OP6 so it does not shatter if you drop it.

Not much has changed since then. I use Phosh since as beautiful as gnome mobile is, it lacks some functionality.

Yes, it pure linux and is based on Alpine linux often used in Docker Containers. Many supported devices run an upstream kernel instead of the old manufacturer one that comes with android. Android apps can work though waydroid, though I have not used apps that require google play services, though I did get that working on my laptoo.

eyo, another oneplus 6 user! It's nice having a headphone jack on a phone. I run PostmarketOS on mine for virtually infinite software updates.

That might explain why I don't have the highest opinion of FSR. I've only used it in Counter Strike 2 and Godot. I've never tried XeSS or DLSS but thanks to your comment I just learned that XeSS can apparently run non intel GPU vendors from their github page

Polievre wants to defund the CBC, build more oil pipelines and continue the expansion of city suburbs. No way I'd vote for that guy. The only good thing I've seen him say is that there should be more competition in the telecommunications market, but it does not take much effort to point out a problem.

Have a look at the PostmarketOS device list. There are a ton of devices that boot, but the vast majority are missing critical features that render the device almost useless for anything but a server. The only android phones that I know of that run well with usable features and performance are the Oneplus 6/6T, Poco f1, Pixel 3a, shift6mq and fairphone, though even then there are crucial features missing. A modern phone built for Linux with a modern chipset, working camera, USB and sound would be awesome, but such a device does not exist AFAIK.

I personally find the sharpened look of FSR to look really bad to the point where I prefer conventional bilinear upscaling, not to mention that using FSR also uses precious compute time on weaker systems.
