Turbo Overkill is a fantastic boomer shooter. The gameplay is really flawless from chainsaw legs to mid-air dropkicks, the pacing is highly satisfying. Every level escalates chaos with vehicle mayhem, bounty hunts, and zero-g grappling. The game mechanics are constantly evolving and never monotony never creeps in. Then there's the synthwave soundtrack that really keeps the adrenaline going.

While other retro games like Selaco nail nostalgia, Turbo Overkill is a complete package. It's got a lot of polish and superior variety. Highly recommend checking it out if you like shooters.

Turns out the Bank of England doesn't have the gold it's supposed to have. The lid was blown off because wait times for withdrawals went from a day to 8 weeks. Supposedly, majority of it has been shipped to New York as FT reports. However, the math here doesn't add up. 393 metric tonnes was sent to New York, but The Bank of England is supposed to have over 5,000 tonnes. What was sent is less than 10% of the total reserves. So where's the rest of the gold?

Either the Bank of England is lying about their reserves or the amount that was sent to New York.

I think a bunch of ignorant politicians in the US think that's going to be their ticket for competing with China because they refuse to invest into workers. They're basically betting that AI would allow them to automate a lot of the jobs, and that's how they'll get back on top.

Just ignore it, upvotes and downvotes ultimately mean nothing.

European leaders, if they can even be called that, abandoned even the pretense of a rules based world in their eagerness to serve as obedient vassals. By supporting the blatant violation of international law in Gaza, they shattered the very principles that could have shielded them from the same fate.

Europe has actively dismantled the very institutions that could protected it from the predatory ambitions of stronger powers. By embracing "might makes right," Europe has forfeited its moral authority when the same logic is turned against it. The US will exploit the current state of European weakness mercilessly, reducing it to a dependent appendage, stripped of autonomy and dignity.

Europe stands on the precipice of its own century of humiliation that it's marching into with eyes wide open. It's is no longer a player at the table of global power, and now finds itself on the menu.

Imagine having a stable government that's able to plan for decades in the future.

Indeed, the whole narrative of China stealing is rooted in a racist narrative that aims to dismiss the technological progress that China is making.

Learning languages is a great use case. I'm learning Mandarin right now, and being able to chat with a bot is really great practice for me. Another use case I've found handy is using it as a sounding board. The output it produces can stimulate new ideas in my own head, and it makes it a good exploration tool that let me pull on different threads of thought.

There is no contradiction here, because the communists, with their customary candor, acknowledge the necessity of stifling speech they deem to be harmful. It is the liberals, those self-appointed guardians of unfettered discourse, who are engaging in hypocrisy. They wax lyrical about the sanctity of free expression, only to abandon their lofty principles the moment their narrative falters.

It's literally the main reason people found out there was a genocide happening in Gaza.

I find it funny when people get upset that a meme template gets used in a novel way. These aren't religious texts that are immutable, memes evolve over time.

It's absolutely hilarious how we now have Raimondo openly admitting that trying to hold back China technologically is a fool's errand, and yet there's no change in policy. This is the definition of idiocy.
