most of my notes i take digitally, but if i'm working on something i'll use pen and paper so i don't risk damaging my phone.

hexbear user here, i generally agree with OP's opinion that defederation is bad for the network, it really should be reserved for Nazi/edgelord instances
you can't download paid content using Aurora Store. it uses sockpuppet Google accounts to download from the Play Store's servers (which is why half the time the accounts are rate limited and don't work anyway)
