I think my laptop is 7 or 8 years old. I have an HP printer which I use. Will my printer work ?

Yes, I will try it with Debian live before installing. Thanks

How do I know if my device actually works with all the foss drivers? Is there a list of hardware supported?

Also, I am planning to use Ventoy for the boot drive. My device has UEFI, so is there any extra steps I need to follow to install the distro properly?

I used Ubuntu in my college for some light programming and felt really happy about it.

I am more interested in switching to Debian 12 than Ubuntu, since the former is really stable. Also, I came to know installing Debian is easier since it supports non free firmware.

I don't know much about protocols. But what is the advantage of switching from websocket to http? Isn't web socket more useful for realtime data?

I only stream music from YouTube music and scrobbling is disabled for YouTube

I am aware of this. But it still in beta, right? I followed the bot but I haven't been recommended any weekly jams. Hopefully, this feature will come out of beta soon.

It would be cool if Lemmy had some sort of integration with Listenbrainz and last.fm . So users can see what songs others are listening to.

I haven't really used Last.fm. So I cannot say much.

Listenbrainz doesn't have personalized music recommendations yet, which is a bummer. This is a feature I am pretty sure Last.fm has.

From Listenbrainz website:

ListenBrainz keeps track of music you listen to and provides you with insights into your listening habits. We're completely open-source and publish our data as open data.

If you use Last.FM, you can import the data into your listenbrainz account. Listenbrainz also has Spotify integration.

  1. Saikou: IMO this is the best anime streaming app for Android. It supports multiple sources, subtitles, picture-in-picture and so much more. It is open source. You can also read manga on it!
  2. Aniyomi: Aniyomi is an unofficial fork of Tachiyomi, a dedicated manga reader. So you can stream anime and read manga from a single app. Like Saikou, Aniyomi supports multiple sources.
  3. Cloudstream: Cloudstreaming is a great streaming app which you can not only for streaming anime but also for watching thousands of TV shows and movies. The app also has features similar to the above mentioned apps but does not have a manga reader.

If you use any other anime streaming apps, please mention it by leaving a comment.
