HP Zbook 15" G7 working out of the box but not great detection reliability (might be an unfortunate specimen). Lenovo Thinkpad T580 much better although not working out of the box on LMDE

Hi, anyone could point me at an ELI5 about SAS hardware? I'd like to assemble a NAS using an old HP Z200, I want SAS because I'd get also a tape drive for backups and I cannot find SATA tape drives. For example, is a Dell Perc H310 pci-e card good for me? Can I avoid hardware RAID?

Me too, on floppy disks, kernel 2.0.something... I remember I struggled to get X11 running, so I tried with redhat next
