We can donate so much a month so a haul to Mars would take years. Also these expedition may get larger with crew capacity.

Its early days yet and this is just one method there will be a dozen more by the time we actually start traversing distant planets.

I know this is a meme but actually looking into this is very interesting, the question being answered is "how can we build on distant planets" which scientists from Manchester university have tried to answer with human waste products and space dust. Any food production on a ship will be for consumption so while potato's are a good choice on earth in reality growing potato's on distant planets pose more question than answers.

As a bloke who's had his pecs groped in intimate acts, I would agree.

It is however worth mentioning that the sexualisation of the pecs and boobs is a man-made construction brought upon by Christian values and one day we may even move past those values and desexualise these body parts.

Lol too true. What faction would Putin pick?

My heart goes out to those Russians who have been patiently waiting for S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 to release and now they face the very real scenario that S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 just won't run. After years of delays this will hit hard. Putin himself has been posting regularly about S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2, begrudged by so many delays and his mother bought him the version with all future DLC's included.

I hope Nvidia feel real fucking good about them selves knowing they've taken away a dictators dream.

I was so pissed when I realised most of the feature on my smart monitor were disabled by disallowing network connection. especially when those features where present on my non smart monitor. Things like dual input so having two devices over HDMI / DPI display on separate portions of the screen was fine on my old lg ultra wide but on the new smart ultra wide it is disabled all because I won't agree to they're terms.

You haven't worked a service gig comrade. When someone asks for they're bacon sandwich to be raw you'll understand.

A few, 7yo appendicitis which ruptured in surgery. 15yo Fell from 3 story high scaffolding and landed on my back. 11yo an adult repeatedly slammed my head onto a wooden floor: maybe not a near death but I had thought that that was the end. 18yo big hill at night friends figgered we would ghost it, brakes off keys out of the ignition, find break don't work and scrabbling to put keys in ignition.. I was drunk so I don't remember much else but we all survived car had a dent on the bumper.

Stalker ~ Stalker gamma but those storms are a little more than a thunderstorm..

Mine is 'pearly penile papules' as it sounds like a fancy magic spell.

Install Anomaly and G.A.M.M.A. on Linux then post your campfire stories on lemmys stalker community.

been using Arch for years but i am still a novice, yesterday i had found that in order for something to work on my system i will need to edit a few lines in kernel which i did, then removed unnecessary modules > intel, > nvidia, compiled. it worked great but with Arch and its rolling release i am dreading the next update and having to go through this again.
what methods are there to automate this process?

tell me the most ass over backward shit you do to keep your system chugging?
here's mine:
sway struggles with my dual monitors, when my screen powers off and back on it causes sway to crash.
system service 'switch-to-tty1.service'

[Unit]
Description=Switch to tty1 on resume
After=suspend.target

[Service]
Type=simple
ExecStart=/usr/local/bin/switch-to-tty1.sh

[Install]
WantedBy=suspend.target

'switch-to-tty1.service' executes '/usr/local/bin/switch-to-tty1.sh' and send user to tty1

#!/bin/bash
# Switch to tty1
chvt 1

.bashrc login from tty1 then kicks user to tty2 and logs out tty1.

if [[ "$(tty)" == "/dev/tty1" ]]; then
    chvt 2
    logout
fi

also tty2 is blocked from keyboard inputs (Alt+Ctrl+F2) so its a somewhat secure lock-screen which on sway lock-screen aren't great.

Noticed these strange looking balls that may pass for an art installation but imagine maybe temperature control?

Screen on event crashes PC and corrupts journalctl, seems to be an issue with edid.

Currently solution has been moving to TTY1 then moving back to sway (tty2) as TTY seems to have no issue handling these events.

Where can I start trouble shooting this?

ultrawade oled, lots of custom scripts.

Will I see any Lemmy comrades at the event?

Mine is insidious as it sounds cool and is apt in our modern world of fast news
