It's such a missed opportunity. Climate change could be used as a blanket excuse for a boon in technology, construction, transport network development, urban redesign, an agricultural revolution and all the investment, tourism, etc that would come with that. Adapting our communities and ways of life toward a sustainable world could be an awesome process and something to celebrate. Any politician that sees this and runs with it will look like a hero for relatively little effort.

To expand on your thought of physical engagement.. With all the dangers and pollutions of car traffic eliminated, outdoor classrooms. More walking, reading, play, reflection. Daily field trips to learn about local industry, some aspect of real world life, or simply to interact with other groups of people such as intergenerational engagement. A distinct and important role of elderly people in this.

Everyone else urge Biden to stop arming Israel citing anti-genocide values. Not to mention guaranteeing republican victory in November.

This is an application of ai that I don't think people have caught onto yet.. Doing the calculation. Everyone and their descendents who got rich screwing the environment and others will pay reparations and the few people who can stop the financial computer network from carrying it out won't since everyone will want to find out what happens. Ai is capable of orchestrating this reckoning.

Sure but a headline like 'sensible regulation affects almost no one' wouldn't get the clicks

If they banned all robocalling, wouldn't that solve it? Can a prioritisation of quality of life over marketing include the phone space? Four US states ban billboards. With an ad blocker, the internet is usable. Nitpicking which tactics can be used in robocalls won't hardly solve the vicious spread of misinformation in this way.

Fair enough, but the result is the same. The teams aren't clubs and are beholden to a closed single entity, big asterisk next to the Packers.

I wonder if by boycotting they'll find interest in other sports where the league doesn't own all of the teams.

Thanks for your input. I think with my comment I was just coming from a place of wanting to not give that POS any blip of additional attention than what he's already taken. I find revenge sort of exhausting and I would wish, especially for her, that she finds a way to think about him less. She's inspired a creative exercise in trying to come up with what would annoy a monster the most. Of course it's all things which would make the world a better place as well. I was trying to think of a way to do that without invoking that asshole. Admittedly I chose my words terribly, but maybe others got a rise calling me horrible things and standing up for what's right, so I've left it up. Keep fighting the good fight.

I'm as outraged as anyone. Just thought it might help the healing process for her to try and focus the money elsewhere.

Oh cool, so next they'll tackle car-centric transportation design since an estimated 1/3 of ocean microplastic is tire dust? ...Please?
