Amazing! Thank you for your hard work, I can't wait to see the life this takes.

I have nothing to contribute except that it is so exciting to be right at the start of something.

Would collapsing a thread be too much for a userscript?

Good luck btw!

Sounds like an Onion headline.

I won't be. A couple /r/'s I will check from time to time but no more doom scrolling.

So despite the hate Comic Sans gets, squiggly fonts make it easier for dyslexics to read. Non-dyslexics can experience a similar effect by reading a book in serif then a non-serif font. I hate Comic Sans too lol but do what makes your life easier.

I'm reading and commenting from fedia. Don't even need to be on the same site as each other to access content.

This has the power to break the mould but eventually someone will need to pay the piper. I think we can bring it together as a community and I have a feeling this could even be done on a voluntary basis too.

I'm not a fan of all the white space but the content + comment layout is very intriguing! Immediately engaging and promotes contribution IMO. Will be keeping an eye on this for sure.

edit: so I signed in and it's an upgraded UX, very polished and obviously has been in development for a while. No offence but I'd be shocked if this is open source.

I work in IT and I keep a baseball bat handy in case I suspect a device has gone online.

However what a ridiculous situation on Amazon's part and it raises a bigger question. Even if this guy was 100% a racist shitbag, should he have had his Amazon account suspended unilaterally in the first place? Should someone have their bank account closed too then? How about utilities? I obviously am not agreeing with someone being racist but think that allowing corporations to impulsively take punitive actions is a slippery slope. Next thing we know, Amazon will be offering capital punishment as a service.

I'm of the opinion the "smart" home thing was just unintentional secondary, I can't imagine them being smart enough to do so on purpose.

Our collective swan song of fuck /u/spez, from Hell's heart I stab at thee.
