For my post today, I had a pretty good mail call today for records. I don't usually buy records online, as I like the hunt of trying to find the records physically, but when a deal calls, I'll take it. The deal for today came in the form of some UK 45s that I got for the equivalent of $3 each. I got 5 original UK press Beatles singles with the original Parlophone sleeve and a copy of the Beat's Tears of A Clown/Ranking Full Stop single in a 2-tone sleeve. All of the records are in VG+ condition.

I don't usually buy Beatles records, as they don't interest me too much in comparison to other bands of the period, but it's still cool to have the original documents of Beatlemania in their complete form. Overall, I'm happy to get these records and add them to the UK originals pile. Although, if I were able to get some 60s US Rolling Stones picture sleeves, I'd be a very happy camper.

Yeah, I'm close to getting every record from them. I'm just missing the Japan-only live album from 1972 and most of the 80s albums.

also thanks for liking the collection. anything else stick out to you?

It's a reissue, but I'd love to have an original 1997 copy of the album on Up records.

It's $20,000 because the sleeve has pictures of police arresting and stepping over beaten protestors, and was released days before or after the 1968 Democratic convention riots, which made it controversial and therefore was withdrawn. I am probably even lowballing that price, its so rare.

Thank you for liking my collection. I tend to collect all over the place, so there might be some oddball stuff in there.

And thanks for liking the James Brown collection. I try to get every record I can get from him due to the sheer breadth of records he released and to see the development over time of his music.

No I don't have any other albums by the Meat Puppets on vinyl. That album in particular Up On The Sun is an OG pressing from 1985, so it doesn't have bonus tracks.

In terms of 45s, I try to collect and punk/post punk/new wave records I can find, and I also try to look for rockabilly, blues, soul, funk, doo wop, and more.

In terms of artists, I'm trying to look for every 60s Rolling Stones records, including the picture sleeves (although the Street Fighting Man sleeve will probably stay out of my collection, as its over $20,000 and I prefer keeping all of my limbs).

Absolutely. Punk rock is fuel.

I am an avid listener, even researcher, of the New Zealand indie scene from 1978 to 1995. I have written long essays on the artists of Flying Nun on reddit and I try to look for any records I can get. My top want right now is the Clean's Boodle Boodle Boodle, but I also want to get records from the Propellor and Ripper labels.

like 12 inch singles or 45s? Don't know of a lot of house or techno singles that are not on 12-inch.

About 2000 albums, plus 200-300 45s, 100 or so CDs, and about 50 78s.

Favorite album on vinyl is probably either Modest Mouse' Lonesome Crowded West or the Clash London Calling.

I have accumulated a few rarities over the years and I'll show some below:

My Copy of Orange Juice's Falling and Laughing with the flexi and postcard (only 934 copies made, 200 with the postcard)

My copy of the Pink Fairies Never Neverland with the PVC outer sleeve:

and my original 1976 copy of the Ramones debut album:
