For me it’s Pink Floyd. Never got into them, especially as I’m a guitar player. David Gilmour is such a vanilla player.

Down ballot candidates still matter. There are several tossup districts in CA for congressional seats. Vote like hell!!!!!

Welp, some random guy on CNN just said he’s voting Trump so I guess he’s convinced me. Trump it is!

The sad thing is that this is likely how some people’s thought process actually works 😬

There’s no such thing as almond milk. You know how I know ? Because there’s no almond tiddies.

With apologies to Lewis Black.

Somehow this led to a vision of Q saying “Schuck it, Picard! Schuck it long, and schuck it hard.”

I too grew up navigating with paper maps. The one thing I hate hate hate about GPS navigation systems in cars is their insistence that up=forward instead of up=north. I know you can change settings for this but sometimes you forget to set it and when going to an unfamiliar location the constant rotating of the map is more disorienting than anything.

They’re all fake. The real one got eaten by Kirby.

hello Portland folks, I am attending a conference in downtown Portland OR in late October. I'm staying an extra day to get some hiking done. My plan is to go to the airport and rent a cheap car, go to wherever you recommend for some good day hiking, and return to the airport for a late (9 pm) flight out. Any suggestions? any places to avoid?

hello,

I'm interested in setting up a jellyfin server that will only serve streams to TVs on my LAN. Files will be on an existing NAS. Usage will be low (probably just one stream at a time); cheap and reliable is the name of the game, and cheap includes power consumption. I am thinking of some kind of NUC but don't know enough about jellyfin yet to decide on specs. Any recommendations for a specific NUC model or CPU/GPU? I assume I will be running linux - any distro recommendations?
