I'm just a foreigner who is very interested in global politics and from what I saw, Harris did have a real message, with policies to boot. Such has first home owners grant, small business grant and the goal of increasing the size of the middle class, which means giving more opportunities to lower class.

Trump on the other hand was ranting incoherently and when he was coherent, sent a message that he was going to take people's rights away.

I don't understand how Harris needed to be clearer when it was as clear as night and day that she was the best choice economically and would provide a more stable future. In my opinion, it wasn't Harris' fault she lost. She ran a decent campaign. It's just that America is more than not racist, sexist and uneducated.

Disclaimer: I'm not saying US is any worse or better. Heck, Australia voted no to indigenous recognition in our constitution while the US actually has support for their indigenous communities. We're racist, dumb and sexist AF too. This is just an example of how powerful misinformation can be.

I don't think it's the reason why Trump won.

Also, most people don't experience trans problems, so the whole thing is a storm in a teacup. Let people have more medical care, not less.

Knock knock

Who's there?

Lettuce

Lettuce who?

Lettuce in and you'll find out!

Why didn't the skeleton go to the dance?

Because it didn't have any body to go with

Why not, though? What's stopping anything from being implemented?

Have you read Project 2025? Your country will literally have a government that can implement all of this without resistance. If a group of people had enough fervour to write such a document, do you honestly think that with all this power they wouldn't implement anything from it?

On top of that, while the US pulls into itself and has a less global presence, it's going to affect the global economy very negatively as the balance of power shifts. With DT at the helm, the balance of power will tip towards China being the next biggest economy.

Anyway, you may not notice a big change unless you're wealthy. Under DT, the poor stay poor but the rich get richer.

Unfortunately, our local council doesn't allow having roosters because of the crowing. Hens only.

Been trying for 6 years. Not desperately, but it would be nice. Thinking about getting chickens.

Did anyone watch Liquid Television?

For the drum machine, definitely! But we largely kept to our tempo or maybe double. It was a free gig and we were getting paid in beers. I think it was pretty funny for the audience too. Great night.

I used to sing in a post punk band. We had a drum machine. In the middle of one gig, the drum machine spazzed out and deleted all the internal memory, and started a 600bpm bossa nova loop. We played right through to the end.

None of the jokes landed for me because it didn't resemble anything that I've ever experienced in an office, while the UK version was more aligned with my experience but exaggerated.

Most corporate places won't allow you to keep pets in the office. There's no reason why an obviously incompetent worker would end up being a manager. There's a few instances in the trailer where you can easily dob management to Fair Work.

Here's what I'd change:

Manager is clearly incompetent but the reason why they're there is because their underling does all the work for them exceptionally well but doesn't get any credit. They have impostor syndrome and never think they'll be manager material. Manager has an MBA that they flout all the time.

IT is incompetent and has weird rules about what you can and can't do on the office computers. For example, no one has the internet on their PC and can only access it through an internet computer (I've actually experienced this). There's a worker in the office who's a tech enthusiast and runs rings around the IT person, acting as a thorn in their side.

HR is done unofficially by the admin team because it's a small business. They're clearly not qualified for the job and treat it more like an advice service.

And so much more...
