Regarding Mr. Steiger's allegations, they have also refuted by the Swiss public prosecutor.

@LinkOpensChest_wav That's a fair point. We've made sure to pass along your comments to the marketing team for future consideration.
We do try to strike a balance in our promotional materials between being informative about new offers/products/releases and giving an option to easily opt out for users who may not be interested, and honest feedback like yours helps in this regard.
@LinkOpensChest_wav Regarding the Proton Pass modal on the account settings page, if you click away from the pop-up anywhere on the screen, does it disappear, or can you dismiss the modal only by selecting 'Start using Proton Pass now'?
@LinkOpensChest_wav With regards to pop-ups, you can always exit them using the X button (or a similar option on the screen depending on the pop-up), after which they should no longer appear, if you don't have your browser set to clear cache & cookies on each exit.
We'll make sure to forward your complaints to the appropriate team for future consideration.
@LinkOpensChest_wav If you've faced any issues with receiving emails that you were expecting to receive, please contact us at https://proton.me/support/contact so we can look further into that.
Regarding email subscriptions (i.e. promotional emails), you can turn them off in your All Settings → Dashboard tab.
@LinkOpensChest_wav Sorry for the confusion, the pricing post is for those currently on a Proton Pass Plus plan.
@LinkOpensChest_wav @BCsven Indeed there was an error, and some users to whose subscriptions this price change (https://proton.me/blog/proton-pass-price-change) doesn't apply have received an email about it. We then sent out a correction email. Please check your spam folder if you can't find it. If it's not there either, please let us know.
@fanchig @protonprivacy The screenshot on the left is from 2023, and is about a discount that ended in August '23. As of recently (January '24), we announced another price reduction that will last until September '24: https://proton.me/blog/proton-pass-price-change. The former was $1/month on a yearly subscription, the latter is $1.99/month on a yearly subscription.
@pearsaltchocolatebar Hi! Regarding Proton Pass, could you let us know if you're referring to the web extension or mobile app for Android or iOS?
Regarding automatic sorting, could you share some more details about your use case, and what you can't currently sort in your Proton mailbox, so we can pass the feedback on to the team?
@birdcat Please read the edited version of our response above, and accept our sincere apologies for sharing some links that were irrelevant to your original concerns: https://mastodon.social/@protonmail/111958985077770856.
The benefits of running Proton's services under Swiss legislation described in the article above remain correct.
