Fedora Workstation ❤

There is a new Linux based tablet available for pre-order. I personally do not know Juno Computers yet - can one trust them to deliver a final product which will work quite well?

How to develop a Python based app for PostmarketOS that can run also in Linux Linux environments - is there a well documented how to?

My home server is managed with Cockpit since years and I am really happy with it.

DahliaOS is not a Google product/project right?

I own a #Jolla Phone 1 and #Intex Aqua Fish. Can I use it as a PostmarketOS Playground instead of buying a PinePhone Pro? Are the images save to flash and is the hardware good enougth to run #PostmarketOS?

Oke, yeah that is working, but you need two clicks, first the "subscribed" button, second again the "subscribed" text. If you would like to interact intuitively with one hand, the "home/house" button is the better option.

I have colored the screenshot a bit, cause in the mobile view it was difficult to differe between the screenshot and the app itself, cause image do not have any borders or frames.

Pressing the 'home/house' button should go scroll back to the top. If one scrolls down a long way it one needs to scroll back to the top manually, which is just a waste of time. Instead one could douple tab the home button.

Fedora 😍 it is really stable and everything is working out of the box. No need to start hacking in terminal after installation.

It is working again after uninstalling and reinstalling docker again. Don't know what the problem is, but luckily it works again...

sudo dnf remove docker \
                  docker-client \
                  docker-client-latest \
                  docker-common \
                  docker-latest \
                  docker-latest-logrotate \
                  docker-logrotate \
                  docker-selinux \
                  docker-engine-selinux \
                  docker-engine
sudo dnf -y install dnf-plugins-core

 sudo dnf config-manager \
    --add-repo \
    https://download.docker.com/linux/fedora/docker-ce.repo
sudo dnf install docker-ce docker-ce-cli containerd.io

I tried to reinstall or downgrade the Docker packages, but it is failing as well. Never had something like this before:

sudo dnf reinstall docker-ce docker-ce-cli containerd.io

After updating my Fedora Linux machine it is no longer able to start the Docker container engine. Any ideas how to fix this?

Please find the journalctl -xe output afterwards:

Exactly @AgreeableLandscape@lemmy.ml , I am thinking of developing and shipping an GUI based app, which is ready to use without installing Python seperately. I am not sure if GTK and Qt for Python can be easily packaged and deployed on Android devices?

I found BeeWare which claims to write code once and deeploy it everywhere, such as on iOS, Android, Windows, MacOS, Linux, Web, and tvOS. I tested it once, but I had trouble with OS independet packages, which were not available for both OS, such as Android and Linux.

Furthermore I found KIVY, which claims to run on Linux, Windows, OS X, Android, iOS, and Raspberry Pi as well, but I didn't manage to gete an Android apk up and running yet.

Your hint @masu@lemmy.ml is valuable, I think I need to make some code more OS independent. That should be the problem while playing with BeeWare, that some Python packages are not available on all plattforms.

Can you recommend any cross platform Python app development frameworks where you write code once and it can be deployed to Linux, Android, Windows, MacOS and iOS.
