Because there are two types of mac users:

  • People that are buying them with their own money because they're trendy and just using them as glorified Internet browsers. 16gb is plenty.
  • People using them professionally so their company is paying and Apple can over charge for the necessary memory upgrade

I've been using Niagra for a few months now and love it 👍

It's not even about profits. If companies don't have to pay for expensive office buildings they can save money. It's all the middle management realising their jobs are are unnecessary.

Here's how the conversation could go without sounding like an ass:

Him: Cool shirt. Do you like Iron Maiden?

Her: No, I just like this shirt.

Him: That's cool. They're one of my favourite bands. If you wanna hangout sometime I'd love to introduce them to you?

Maybe not the last sentence but can you get the difference in tone?

I agree with you about macos design. I'm not a fan of it either. It's garish with over the top animations. The window manager is dreadful. Track pad gestures are great though as is spotlight search.

It kind of has to be mac. How else are you gonna test on safari?

[–] luves2spooge@lemmy.world 7 points 3 months ago

You're right because the hyphantion of "drug-infested" causes it to act as an adjective to describe "sex dens". But there's only one adjective so the comma is not necessary

You're deluded

Please tell me how I can build ios apps, test multiple browsers (including safari), and test on any iPhone without mac? I don't want to use a mac but it's not "always a dumb choice". Sometimes (by design) there is no choice.
